The Near North End is an historic part of Colorado Springs. Our neighborhood encompasses a wide range of local businesses, historic buildings, and residential properties. Map of the Near North End Boundaries.
There are several properties in the Near North End that are included on either the state or national register of historic places, including First Congregational Church, Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, Hagerman Mansion, and Burgess House. Monument Valley Park, which forms a central anchor for our community, was gifted to the city by General William Palmer in 1907.
Over 30 buildings in the Near North End are included on the annual Historic Preservation Alliance walking tour. Check out the HPA’s map and information brochure.
